Let your BookCrossing books get some facetime on Facebook: New Connections.

September 15, 2011
Now, sharing your releases with fellow friends and BookCrossers is easier than ever. The new Facebook/BookCrossing interaction allows your releases to be automatically onto your Facebook page. (The feature is optional, and requires you authorize the connection between the two sites. If you have not linked your accounts, don't worry. Your releases will not be posted on Facebook.) But, if you are interested or have already linked accounts, read on!

--On each submit page (ie when registering, journalling, or releasing a book) you'll have a check-box right above the submit button to select whether you want to post this particular action to Facebook or not. The default for any action you have authorized on your profile is "select". Simply un-check it if you don't want it to post your release.

--There are also separate settings in your profile under the Social Networking section where it says "Link to Your Social Networking Accounts" (Look for the symbols for Facebook, Twitter, and Goodreads.) Click the link, then select "Link to My Facebook Account"

--At your profile you can then choose any or all of three options of automatic posting:
Post Book Registrations to Facebook
Post Journal Entries to Facebook
Post Book Releases to Facebook
These can always be changed for individual books at the time of registration/journalling/releasing.

NOTE: FOR ALL MEMBERS WHO CURRENTLY ALREADY HAVE LINKED THEIR ACCOUNTS
THIS AUTOMATICALLY DEFAULTS TO BEING CHECKED until they change it.

We hope you like this new option. Many thanks to our hardworking Tech Team who are working still on a large list of requests!
