Australian BookCrossing Convention, 24 - 26 June 2005

February 8, 2005
Great News! Brisbane is the setting for the next href="http://www.bookcrossing.com/forum/22/1688932">Australian BookCrossing Convention. Between 24 and 26 June, the Aussies are set to gather, party and release books with abandon. They had so much fun in
Sydney in 2004 that they can't wait to do it all again! You can read about all the fun they had in the famous Skyring's Journal.

The word is that Brisbane is a great place to visit. It's the capital of Queensland, which is known as
the Sunshine State. You can take a Paddlewheeler Cruise on the river, visit
the South Bank Parklands, or stroll through the Museums and Art Galleries.
Of course the beautiful beaches of the Gold Coast are just a short drive
away. If you're a little more laid back, href="http://www.ourbrisbane.com/">Brisbane has a great cafe culture so
you can just pull up a chair in Little Stanley Street, or West End, order a
coffee, pull out a good book and watch the rest of the world go by.

The Brisbanites, led by href="http://www.bookcrossing.com/mybookshelf/Neesy">Neesy, have some
great ideas for their visitors. Flash mobs and Author Seminars, sightseeing
and some good old fashioned partying. There will be plenty of book releasing
too!

Watch the Forum because you know the Aussies, they always have plenty to say!
If you can make it, why don't you travel on Down Under in June? Bet there are some BookCrossers who will give you a rousing welcome!
