Extended Profile
I'm a professor of geography and tourism development at Plymouth State College in New Hampshire, where I teach courses in tourism development, heritage tourism, and community planning. I have conducted tourism marketing and planning research for a number
of communities, historic properties, and state agencies--from as far a field as Mount Desert Island in Maine, to Adak in the Aleutians. My first book, Judson's Island, is a tourism planning text written in the form of a murder mystery; the principal setting
is based upon a composite of New England towns. My second, A Last Resort, is a work of crime fiction set in New Hampshire's beautiful Balsams Grand Resort; I hope that it will be released soon. A third, An Island to Die For, is in progress. My fourth, also
in progress, is a work of non-fiction that traces the early history of Inuit co-operatives in Canada's arctic region.
