Called myself tree hugger because I'm a bit of an environmental do-gooder in my spare time - I'm a trustee of a local environmental charity and I also do a bit of hedge-laying, digging ponds etc. That's me toiling away in the picture there. The sign reads "volunteers at work"... tee hee.
Other hobbies include roller derby, chicken-keeping, following York City FC. Oh, and when I grow up I want to be a cowgirl.
As for books, I like fiction mostly, especially comics and short stories. My favourite writers are Dan Rhodes, Ali Smith and Jon McGregor.
Bookcrossing & Me
I was introduced to the site by Nu-knees, my Mum, after her referral from Mai-day.
I do most of my bookcrossing by sharing books with friends or using bookswap shelves. I only do bookrays/rings and RABCKs very infrequently. I usually only bookcross stuff I read rather than acquiring hundreds of books specifically to release - this is because my favourite element of bookcrossing is seeing the comments from previous readers, it's about reading more than it's about books, for me.
I love to meet other bookcrossers at conventions, and thoroughly enjoyed Edinburgh 2009, Nottingham 2011, Dublin 2012 and Leeds 2013.
