Extended Profile
We all have our time machines. Some take us back, they're called memories. Some take us forward, they're called dreams.
-Jeremy Irons
She is too fond of books, and it has turned her brain.
~ Louisa May Alcott
I love to read well written time-travel and past-lives fiction. Some of my favorites...Time and Again by Jack Finney, Passage by Connie Willis, Kindred by Octavia Butler, The House On The Strand by Daphne Du Maurier, The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson and Richard Matheson's Bid Time Return (aka Somewhere in Time). One Christmas my husband gave me a first edition copy of Bid Time Return, and it is one of my favorite gifts. Distant Music by Lee Langley is probably my all-time favorite novel.
I collect paper bookmarks. I have a unique collection and I store them in a small, vintage card catalog cabinet that I acquired when my library was getting rid of them once computerized cataloging came along. It's a fun hobby. I also collect small snowmen for winter decorating, and small fairies for spring & summer decorating.
