Extended Profile
Most of my publishable writing is at: http://steveorr.blogspot.com, and a poetry collection is started at http://www.webook.com/project/SteveOrrs-Poetry. My Facebook page is under Stephen C. Orr.
WACO MOVE: Hey Meet-up folks! As promised, here is my new e-mail: [email protected]. Please note all the periods in the e-mail address. I would love to hear from you all. Let me know how it's going. Check out the URL for pix of our new house (in a blog on my MySpace page; also in some photos at my Facebook page).
NOTE: Regarding the available books; just let me know how to send them to you.
MEET-UP: LOVE IT! Just can't get there as often as I like. Blizzards kept me from more than one while I lived in Greater Boston, but was always there when weather permitted. Hoping to get one started in Waco. You should join us!
BOOKCROSSING: I am REALLY enjoying this! I have long wished for some way to keep track of the books I "share" (my term, pre-bookcrossing, for giving away books). For years and years, I've purchased books for the express purpose of sharing them with other people. This adds a dimension of intrigue. I have to travel, some, so I have been able to release in some interesting places. PLUS, I now get to swap books with other BC-ers!! My books move out pretty fast, but I am happy to swap with other BC-ers if the book is still available; just drop me an e-mail message with the details.
ABOUT ME: I'm originally from Paducah, Kentucky (USA), went to college & lived in Texas for a couple of decades, spent almost 17 years living in New England where I worked for US Gov't agencies, and now I have moved back to Texas. I like to read a mix of fiction and non-fiction; mysteries, quantum physics, spiritual, sci-fi, biography, historical fiction, and alternate history.
