March 2021:

It's been a while since I've been active here on BookCrossing. I've dropped in a few times over the years, but the last time I was truly present and active was probably 2009-2010. A lot has happened since then, and I see a lot of changes have happened here in BC as well. I'm not sure if anyone still remembers me from back then, or if you are still active yourself, but if you are and if you do, please feel free to say hi!

Anyways, I guess the most important thing I wanted to share is that over the last decade a lot of things have happened - I've moved across the world three times (Malaysia to Canada, back to Malaysia, and back to Canada again), my father passed away unexpectedly and we had to sell my childhood home in a hurry. And this is relevant because I had a lot of BookCrossing books stored in my childhood home, and I had to let go of a lot of books in a hurry. I was also not present for the actual sale of the house, so I couldn't check for BC books and ended up losing track of a lot of them. My brother supposedly donated most of them to a local orphanage, so hopefully a lot of children are happy with them at least. There were many that were slated for wild release anyway, and perhaps one day the children might even register the books here. But I wanted to apologize if I inadvertantly gave away a book I wasn't supposed to. I had neglected Bookcrossing, and forgotten about the kindness and generosity of Bookcrossers in the last decade, and I am sorry that I was not more careful with the books in my care.

I hope I can make up for it now. I have missed BookCrossing and my dear BookCrosser friends, and I am looking forward to reconnecting with old BC friends, making new friends, and discovering and sharing new and old books together.

Thank you for your generosity with your beloved books through the years. Happy BookCrossing!

My Amazon Wish List

I got this from Gizmopuddy, who got this from Sugarkane(now florafloraflora) and Scism. Great way of rating books, I think I might have to 're-rate' some of the books I read!

10: Excellent, at the top of its category. This book has impacted me deeply, challenged me profoundly, or has simply been a pure delight to read.
9: Great book - just a nitpick stands between it and a 10
8: Good, solid book that I would recommend to others.
7: Good book, but it didn't grab me in a big way.
6: Decent, but not my type of book.
5: Maybe somebody else would like this. I didn't.
4: Only OK. Barely worth reading. The line between taking it and leaving it is very thin.
2-3: Has major problems. I don't recommend it.
1: It's hard to imagine anyone liking this book.
