About me: Actually I grew up on trees, with a book in my hands. Or I'd hang around in the library. At first I wasn't eligible to a library card, because I wasn't yet in school. So I sat on a dwarf chair in the children's corner and spent my time reading children's books. Or climbing trees. But books have been my secret escapes from start.
Later I had jobs and professions and neglected books, especially belletristic ones. Fortunately I stumbled 20 years ago over Bookcrossing and started reading again! Through Bookcrossing I even learnt English. Believe me, reading and writing are the best teachers for any language.

Ah yes, I am a vegan and believe in ahimsa, the non-violent way. That's why I sometimes give bad ratings to books which contain cruelty to animals. If somebody wants to start a club of Vegan Bookcrossers ... I'm in =^;^=

I am maintaining the GLORIA-Gazette!, kind of a notice-board for the meet-ups in Zurich. You can subscribe by writing a journal entry, I will send the BCID on demand over PM.

In Zurich we meet around 4 times a year (on demand) at COOL BOOKS, which is also our OBCZ. (The book fridge is available Wednesday to Saturday from noon to 9 pm.)
The meet-ups are announced in our group at Facebook facebookcrossers.

My Bookcrossing highlight: 2013 I partook at the legendary Bookcrossing Olympics in the team Vegania. We had much fun in fulfilling all the tricky book sports and enjoyed it immensely. Thank you very much, Vekiki, for organizing this event! Vegania made 69 points which put us on sixth place in world ranking. Not too bad - we were so pleased ^__^
In the voting for the Best of Bookcrossing Olympics we gained second place with this book (a floating release).
