Extended Profile
i love language and languages, and consequently have enjoyed reading and being read to for as long as i can remember. books in spanish are my current passion and books in english my long-term friends, but then again there's nothing like a well-written
finnish book to make me jump for joy for being able to look at and see the world through this curious, beautiful mother tongue of mine.
i seem to move about a lot, flitting from one country to another, and so thought that bookcrossing would be a great way of getting rid of some extra baggage, allowing me to give something to others while having a bit of fun myself. there are of course still some books that i'm not prepared to let go, namely those that for me represent some greater wisdom, or those that never fail to make me smile, but generally speaking i believe that books should roam free, not collect little grey particles on the shelf after having been read only once. or how would you like being squeezed in tightly between a couple of big, fat epic tales and never to be touched again?
having said that, i admit having been guilty of holding the following books captive for far too long. please don't hesitate to contact me if you see something you like.
---
out of my 30 wild releases, 9 have been caught and journalled. i myself have found 3 books in the wild.
---
a not-so-very-recent update: my mum donated a big pile of books for bookcrossing purposes, so she is to thank for the sudden increase in the number of books registered.
