Extended Profile
I'm a California bookworm. Born across from San Francisco in the sleepy town of San Anselmo where I spent
many happy hours in the library. I drove teachers crazy in grammar school reading books inside the desk
instead of paying attention. I have even worked in libraries. I minored in English. My favorite authors
are Thackerey, Updike, Martin Amis, David Lodge, Muriel Spark, Fay Weldon, Ruth Rendell, A.N. Wilson, Peter
Ackroyd, Peter Carey and Arthur Upchurch. I'm reading Anthony Powell now. I also liked David McCullough's John Adams and am looking for his book on Teddy Roosevelt. There are alot of books printed in Britain that aren't
available in the U.S. so I am looking forward to sharing with folks across the pond. I also love Indian writers like V.S. Naipul. Life is never lonely with a good book and a springer spaniel. Cheers
