Extended Profile
I am a retired business owner who has traveled the world and loved seeing other parts of our beautiful world and experiencing their diverse cultures. As much as I loved doing that, and there were many beautiful cities I would have loved spending more time
in, I always came back to North Carolina. As the saying goes, "there's no place like home". I am divorced, a mother of two wonderful adult children, who have blessed me with six beautiful grandchildren (3 boys, 3 girls). I am an avid reader and have been donating
hundreds of books to the local charities, but I remembered seeing a book in a doctor's office a couple years ago that said "enjoy and return to this location". I didn't plan to be back in that office for a year, so I did not take the book.
Life happened (thank goodness to make me appreciate the fact that I am alive and blessed), I got busy and forgot all about Book Crossing. I've been exchanging books with my classmates and friends, but I haven't been leaving them in public places and posting this to Book Crossing. So, as I start that tough task of deciding which books to share with others, I thought that I should update my profile and make sure that Book Crossing was still going strong. I'm really happy to see that you are!
So, here I am. I have a trunk load of books going to charity, but I will be selecting some special books I loved reading to share through Book Crossing. Can't wait to hear how far my books travel...maybe further than I have traveled! Thanks to the founder(s) of Book Crossing! What a "novel" idea!
