Hi
I work in a school as a teaching assistant and I love books! I decided to try to open a Book Crossing zone at my local pub (The Coach and Horses in Dronfield, Derbyshire near Sheffield).Selfish motives as I love sitting there with a drink of Thornbridge cask ale whilst reading! The pub manager Catherine and her partner Kelly (also one of the brewers), recently arrived from New Zealand and were enthusiastic about the scheme too. We are asking for small donations for the books which will be split between the NSPCC and Sheffield FC(at 150 years, the oldest football club in the WORLD, recognised as such by FIFA and whose ground is behind the pub)which collects old football boots and sends them to Africa for the children there.Benefits all round. If you are in the area please give it a try and leave any books you no longer need for me to register. Can recommend the sofa with a beer, good food and a book. Heaven!Tea and coffee also served
Thank you.
Happy reading!
