My icon is in memory of the 29 Pike River miners. I don't intend to change it until their bodies are all retrieved from the mine.

In memory of Shelley Mather and all the other 'children of the world' who died in London on 7 July 2005.

Moe mai koutou i roto i nga ringaringa o nga tipuna

May you all sleep peacefully in the loving hands of your ancestors.

Kia tau te rangimarie i waenganui i a tatou katoa, nga tamariki o nga tai e wha, ahakoa ko wai, ahakoa no hea.

May peace be amongst all of us, the children from the four tides, no matter who we are, no matter where we are from.

The years pass and still we weep, still there is pain but the people of London have carried on as they did 65 years ago during the Blitz.

May all peoples find the courage to talk to one another instead of killing and maiming.

BookCrossing has been both my joy and my salvation. BookCrossers have been there for me when I needed it most, both in spirit and in the flesh.

To the wonderful women and men of BookCrossing, I salute you, one and all, for the richness and friendship that you have brought into my life.

I am a mother of one, step-parent of three and foster-parent of several and now, a tāua (grandmother) of one (BookCrosser Mokopuna1).

I am a passionate reader and book collector (hoarder?). I am also a bit shy so have not wild-released much. I have been delighted to meet so many BookCrossers in person at meetups and Conventions.

I am a former breeder of Siamese, Orientals and Birman cats and, until March 2009, supervised at the computer by my Oriental Havana Brown and white named Star. Old age claimed her but I now share my days with Tu (an Oriental Blue), Habana (a black and white) and Buddy (a tabby) as well as my Jack Russell, Lily

I live in the South Island of New Zealand. I read both for work and for pleasure and I am currently trying to upgrade my second language skills.

I was a long distance member of the 2009 BookCrossing Convention which was held in Christchurch, New Zealand. It was very exciting to meet many more fabulous bookcrossers from around the world.

I have been enjoying the fora and meeting BC'ers in Real Life both at meetups and conventions. My stats are improving and I am gradually registering my Permanent Collection and books that have been passed on to me that may be available in the future so check out my bookshelf from time to time.

Any book on my wishlist is most likely for my Personal Collection. If you don't like people adding books you send to their PC, please DON'T send me anything!! You have been warned.

I am registering all my books, roughly in alphabetical order, with occasional diversions.

While some of what I register as Permanent Collection reflects my personal taste, some of it also reflects the fact that with foster children and an extended family of adults coming and going I find it helpful to keep a wide selection of books available for people to read.

Most of the books that I am currently registering come from my permanent collection and are NOT available for trade.

Because of my changed circumstances I am not in a position to trade so please don't ask. Thank you.

I hope you are enjoying Bookcrossing as much as I am.
