Hello from Canada! ===============================================
===============================================
Greetings from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada! It's Fall! Home of the big.. maul..er "mall" -- West Edmonton Mall.
Books...are like lobster shells, we surround ourselves with 'em, then we grow out of 'em and leave 'em behind, as evidence of our earlier stages of development.
Dorothy L. Sayers (1893 - 1957), The Unpleasantness at the Bellona Club, 1928

I have to first dispel all rumours about Canada. We do not travel by dogsled. We do not know your Uncle Ed from Newfoundland and we have *four* distinct seasons with temperature variants!
"Canadians are a modest and simple people. We play hard, work hard and pretty much deal with everything that is thrown our way in the most effective way we see possible. We tend to use the word, "Eh" -- maybe too much. We love starting our day with a double, double. If you don't know what that is then your probably haven't had Tim Horton's. Not all of us are hockey enthusiasts but if our team is winning, you bet that we'll get in line to cheer them on!
Enough about Canada and all that stuff..."--OneSmartCookie
Books! Book Crossing has renewed my love for reading. Until July 2002, I considered myself a sporadic reader. Not because I didn't like to read but simply because I was lazy and didn't make the time to read. It has allowed me to share my latest reads with others and also to engage in reading of genres that I normally wouldn't take a second look at. That, is not a bad thing! I'm quite interested in what others are reading or what authors appeal to them. If you'd like to say hello or give me the head's up on a great book, feel free to PM me.
---------------------------------------------------
I adore Irish Authors. At this time I am not accepting anymore books until I tackle my To Be Read Pile. Well, except for my Wish List that is. ;-)
---------------------------------------------------
Apart from reading, I love cooking, music, art, movies, theater, festivals, the outdoors and recently we purchased our first home. We are currently in the home renovating process (does it every end?!). I'm employed full time in Management and a member of Weight Watchers. I have three wonderful neices who I adore. My only pet is Mickey the house mouse who we haven't managed to capture yet!
