As you probably figured out I am the mother of two children. I have a tween girl and a toddler boy, that keep me quite busy . I am currently a stay at home mom as I have been experiencing some health problems. Reading is my favourite activity, and I can honestly say that I do not remember a time in my life that I did not enjoy reading. Although my children do keep me busy ( my son has special needs), I always find some time to read. Of course, I don't get to read as much as I would like to, but I read at least a book a week, but when time allows I average about 3 a week. I enjoy mysteries, psychological thrillers, legal thrillers, medical thrillers, women's fiction, general fiction,contemporary romance. I am not really into the Harlequin or Silhouette or series such as those, though I will read them on occasion, as long as it is not too graphic or " mushy". I also read some young adult fiction.
Some of my favourite authors include Sandra Brown, Joy Fielding, Sharon Sala, Greg Iles, Kathryn Erskine, Barbara Delinsky.
I have just discovered bookrings, bookrays, draws and exchanges, so I have listed my address on RABCK.com
It was mentioned to me that I might want to list some other things that I like (besides reading) in my profile, as the Holiday season approaches. I have posted a HGG wishlist, but figured adding more interests to my profile, can't hurt.
I am pretty simple! Nothing makes me happier on a cold day that flannel jammies, fuzzy slippers, hot coffee and a good book!(except my kids of course!)
I like funky socks, bright and colourful ankle socks, knee highs, and even toe socks! Handmade knit socks are the best! (I have bigger than average feet - about a size 9 sometimes a 10!)
I love Tommy Lee and Nikki Sixx.
I LOVE penguins, dolphins, daisies, and cherubs. I love bookmarks! I enjoy doing word search, and Sudoku puzzles. I like to doodle, and love funky pens, especially green or purple ink. I enjoy sending and receiving letters! My favourite colours are orange, yellow, and purple. My favourite scents are vanilla, raspberry, and orange/citrus scents.
I drink a lot of coffee, mostly from Tim Hortons! I do occasionally enjoy herbal teas like chamomile, peppermint, and green teas. I enjoy apple cinnamon flavored tea, as well as hot apple cider.
