Extended Profile
Hi - I'm a newly retired RN and own my own business as a Mary Kay consultant. Some of you have books rated by my Mom before her death in May 2009. Dad still lives with us, and I'm happy to say that I see him reading more than I think he ever has.
My CA son David is an avid reader, omnivorous in his taste; many books will also be shared with him. We've moved to live close to our other son and his family. And we also have a daughter in CA.
I'm particularly fond of murder mysteries that run in series: "Cat Who...", "...the Rabbi...", or of serialized fiction, like most of Andrew Greeley. In the past year or so, I've fallen in love with books set in Amish country. And I seem to be reading more historical fiction, nonfiction, and memoirs. I'll at least browse anything, though, except sci-fi. I like the BookCrossing idea, so I'm also looking forward to reading books I never would have thought of.
We're settling in, and I'm looking forward to getting busy releasing and catching
books around here. One of my local grandsons just loves to help Nana with "runaway books." And both of them read, with the 9 year-old advanced in both ability and interest. So any help keeping them in books would also be appreciated!
