Extended Profile
Some things I love are knitting, reading (obviously!), coffee, music (esp. alt, women's, disco, classic rock), gardening (but I'm a very lazy gardener).

Favorite reading topics are spirituality, self-examination, current events/politics. I haven't read much fiction in the last few years, but am definitely ready to pick some up again. Favorite authors include Jeanette Winterson and Tom Robbins.

For the Race to a Million anniversary challenge, I registered many of the books in my permanent collection. Some of these I may part with later on, but many (particularly the spiritual and religious books) I could not bear to let go least not permanently. If you are interested in something that is marked part of my permanent collection, email me, and perhaps we can work out a loan or I may start a bookring. Check the journal entries for book cover if the photo isn't available on the main bookshelf.

Sometimes I get lazy about updating my web page or responding to messages, but you will not be forgotten. Just be patient with me. :-)

Currently reading:

Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister : A Novel by Gregory Maguire

Dead due to missing book.

Note: Bookrings I'm involved in but didn't start are noted in the below lists. That's because I long ago quit keeping track of the bookrings I sign up for. When it's my turn, someone will let me know, and then it'll get in the to-be-read list. When I'm done, I'll move it to the recently read list. My to-be-read list now actually reflects the books, in order, on my table waiting to be read. Obviously, bookrings and rays come first.
