PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU HAVE A BOOK TO SEND - I'M MOVING HOUSE SOON
My favourite books are way too many to mention, but I love, love, love The Virgin Suicides, Pride and Prejudice, North and South, Bleak House, The Three Miss Kings...I could go on for hours! I also really like Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Seamus Heaney, Paul Muldoon and a lot of Anglo-Saxon stuff, like Beowulf, The Wanderer, The Seafarer. My final year dissertation was on religion and magic in Malory's Le Morte Darthur, so I read a lot about that sort of thing too. Basically, I'll read pretty much anything! I'm not really a fan of romance books though.
I'm usually willing to do trades, depending on my financial situation, so if I've got any books that you'd like, drop me a message. I also quite like sending some RABCKs out now and then :-)
At the moment, I'm trying to read all the books from the 1001 books to read before you die list. I think I've read about 170 of them already (depending on which edition you go by). I'm also aiming to read all the Booker Prize winners and short-listed nominees. It started out just being to read the winners, but it's kind of developed since then! I also joined the 50 states challenge, so if you can suggest some ideas of what to read for each American state I'd be really grateful :-)
Places I've released books!
