Hi.. I used to read voraciously, and indeed studied literature at Cambridge (for my degree course in modern and medieval language and literature). However I suffered a breakdown in my first year and have found it hard to finish books ever since, so I only read a handful of books a year. However I am looking for a hobby besides going to the pub and this looks interesting. I imagine the fact that someone has taken the trouble to leave books out to be found will be an impetus to finish them. I'm open-minded about genres but can be fairly picky, bordering on snobbish, when judging a book's quality, so don't take any negative reviews to heart..

I'm looking for books written in English, French and Spanish. 19th century French poetry is a particular interest.
