Extended Profile
IMPORTANT!!! I have moved recently (again - this is nomadic lifestyle is becoming a habit, I guess). If you have my address and want to send me something, please PM me to confirm the correct address.
(The blog listed as my homepage belongs to my husband, please visit, it will make him happy ;-) ...)
Last Quarter of 2006 - another (way too infrequent)profile update ...
As you may have noticed, I'm not in Halifax anymore. In fact, I'm not even in Canada anymore :-) I packed everything up and traipsed literally halfway around the globe and is currently in Canberra, Australia (you could say that I got fed-up with the incessant spring rains in Nova Scotia and decided to move to a sunnier climate but that would mean that I was unhappy in Halifax, which I was definitely not!) Anyway, I was offered a great post-doctoral fellowship at the CSIRO and here I am, in Australia of all places!
My bookshelf will be a bit bare for the forseeable future because I got rid of most of my registered books that were ready for release prior to the move (If you find yourself in Fredericton, New Brunswick, take a peek at the friends of the library sale shelf, there should be quite a few from the whole box that I dontated just before taking off). Most of my other books are still in the process of being shipped to Australia and I'm very optimistically hoping to get them before Christmas and then I will be able to get back into the BookCrossing spirit again.
My Wish List (thank you cliff1976!)
My mother (lady-sybils-mom) loves romances. I like to surprise her occasionally with a package of books. A few very special fellow-BookCrossers has done the same, thanks to all the generous souls out there that were willing to surprise a total stranger with books (and the occasional extra 'goodies').
