My Mum always said that if I wasn't allowed to read a book at the table when I was a kid, I'd just read the back of the cornflake packet instead!

Now that I'm all grown-up (?!!) & with other responsibilites, I'm not quite as prolific a reader as I used to be. But there's nothing I enjoy more than sitting in bed of an evening and just reading, reading, reading. And then I wake up with the book on my chest & the light still on ....

My bookshelf here is so full of all sorts of weird & wonderful stuff that I feel I need to explain it! I register & release allot of books which pass through my hands without my ever reading them myself. So, please don't take my bookshelf as any indication of my reading tastes! I'm loath to categorise, but books marked as TBR are the most likely to give you an idea. Favourite authors include Robert Crais, Michael Connelly, Harlan Coben, Val McDermid & Phillipa Gregory.

If anyone has kiddies, please check out" target="_blank">Kleptokid's bookshelf. He sees Mummy having so much fun doing BookCrossing that he wants to get in on the action, and we do find it hard to find English language kid's books here in Portugal! palign=left>

I'm always open to Rings, Rays and trades, but please don't bother to get in touch unless you're prepared to trade or contribute to postage. This may sound harsh, but I'm sick of receiving standardised 'send me' PMs that don't even take the time to say please. Unfortunately the few people who send me them so regularly are spoiling things for everyone. Other than that, I'm not scary so please say hi!

My wishlist is rather long, but I'm not greedy (honest!). I don't have much access to English language books so I keep my wishlist full for the benefit of friends & family who scour the charity shops on my behalf!
