Extended Profile
Due to several circumstances, I am way behind in all things bookcrossing. Please bear with me as I try to catch up on all my e-mails. I will try to get all the books I owe mailed out within the next two weeks. I truly sorry for
all the inconveniences I have caused to my bookcrossing friends. Updated 07-20-06
Lately I have been having some problems receiving PMs. If you don't hear from me please feel free to e-mail me directly at crazybcer at comcast dot net. Thanks. I am willing to trade for books I have marked AVL or even TBR. Postage does play a part of if I can make the trade at the time it is requested.

I decided I need an hour countdown too!
If you are curious about my book buying freeze check out
these two threads, the reason and the support thread.
Happy Reading!!
My Wish List Thank you so much Cliff1976:
05/06 I just updated my wish list.
I am also always looking for cozy mysteries to share with my mom.
They seem to be the only type of book she can read while undergoing her chemo.
Check out the great
Birthday RABCK Experiment!! My birthday buddy is
hobbit.

And now for a personal update…
I want to say a huge thank you to the amazing EllyMae58 for coming to visit for a 10 days. We had way too much fun. Wordstock was incredible! I think I have successfully convinced her to return each year to attend Wordstock and visit with me. Huge amounts of cash left our wallets as we hit bookstore after bookstore. Here is a list of the ones I can remember right now, there could be more:
Beaverton Library’s Book Corner
Powell’s bookstore Beaverton and the Huge Downtown store
Annie Blooms Books
Title Wave Bookstore
Friends’ Library Bookstore
Goodwill Westside Outlet Hillsboro
We had so much fun and purchased so many books that we have both signed a contract to not buy any new books until July. (If you are curious follow this link for more info.)
Health Updates:
My Mom
It has been 3 years since my mom was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer. During that time she was able to be off all chemo for 6 months. It was a wonderful vacation for her. She was, until last week, on what I was calling chemo-lite. It was the heavy-duty drugs that made her sick. I don’t think a single person looking at her would have guessed she was a cancer patient undergoing chemo. Unfortunately she found out on 04/27 that the chemo-lite was not doing enough for her. My mom will have to go back on the heavy-duty chemo drugs. One is a med that makes her sick but one is a new one that there is a lot of hope about. It was the first time my mom realized that she will have to be on chemo for good.
What continues to inspire and amaze me is her attitude. She was comforting us. Her faith is so strong as is her belief that she can beat this that it will not get her down. My mom has honestly never suffered from depression and even now she is determined not to be sad. Our joke that she is Pollyanna remains true to this day. We are all so lucky to have her as our mom/wife/mom-in-law=mom.
My Daddio
My dad continues to be cancer free after his tumor was removed from his kidney. During the last year his hearing failed at an alarming rate. It was strange how fast it got worse after years of being bad. Thankfully he has picked up lip-reading over the years and my mom helps translate as needed. He may not be able to talk on the phone much but then again he never liked too.
My little nephew, Jakson, continues to be a source of great joy for my parents. He will be two this month, wow! My parents help my sister out by watching him every week, sometimes for 2 days or sometimes for 5. He loves being there. I think at times Grandpa is his number one person in the world. The two of them are so cute together.
Me
My health…..well at times it is okay and then it can be yucky. It is normal though for me. Life with fibromyalgia and endometriosis (and the bag full of other health goodies) is always a barrel of laughs. If I am missing it probably is that my FMS has flared. I just finished a 6-month course of lupron for the endo and surprise it didn’t work. I am going to try a 2nd course and see if it will take this time around. It is not much fun being forced into medical menopause but if it helps keep surgery away I am game. Think happy thoughts for Richard please. I am a moody pain to live with and the hot flashes make me grumpy. I am so lucky that Richard is such a good husband and loves me as he puts up with a lot. :)
Well that is all for now…..thanks for all the wonderful warm wishes for my family. It all helps!
