This is Ms. P's English class at HPMS and most of us love to read! Students will be reading and releasing books all over the place. Right now, there are a few books registered. I plan to register many more books this week and for the rest of the year, so check back often!

If you find a bookcrossing book--MAKE A JOURNAL ENTRY right away! You may do so as an anonymous user (no name) or you may journal under this screenname. See me if you need help doing this. Enjoy!

PLEASE read these books as quickly as possible--other students are anxious to read them and to be part of the fun as well. Give a thorough journal entry--we'd love to read about what you really thought about the book and why. Also, go ahead and share any interesting experiences you had with the book. Finally, release it in the middle school in a creative place, if you will! Be sure and make release notes so we can go hunting!

Coming up:
Night by Elie Wiesel--a memoir of a boy's experience in Concentration camps in WWII. If you're interested in the Holocaust, you'll love this book!

The Devil's Arithmetic--a modern-day teenage girl is stuck all of a sudden in a concentration camp in Germany during World War II! She experiences the horrors of the Holocaust first-hand. Reminds me of the Twighlight Zone where people are transported into a bizarre world, although this one was real!
