Extended Profile
The books on my shelf do not necessarily reflect my reading tastes, as I often purchase books specifically to Bookcross.
I am a freelance fine artist, specializing in oil paintings---portraits, classic cars, horses, still lifes, you name it, I can do it. I am represented by galleries in Baker City, and also have an Etsy shop. I do take commissions when I have time.
I graduated from Academy of Art University, majoring in Fine Art. Now that I am finally done with school, I should have more time for reading and bookcrossing. I have been pretty inactive for the last few years, but am working on releasing the books that I have held captive for so long!
I enjoy reading, of course, painting, making jewelry, weightlifting, ballet, skating, cycling, volleyball, and going to flea markets, auctions, thrift stores and yard sales.
I am also manager and corporate administrator for a chain of gyms in the pacific northwest. I love my job and company!
Find my art at < a rel='nofollow' href="http://dancingelephantart.com/"> dancingelephantart.com and my blog Life is a Great Big Canvas
or you can buy my art at AmyVanGaasbeckArtist and my jewelry at Gomboggitdesigns.

I am also on Paperbackswap.com
I do own a Little Free Library, the Wizard of Oz little free library in Baker City, Oregon. I often put Bookcrossed books in my Little Free Library.
