I'm a book lover from childhood. Most of my days aren't complete if I haven't read something for enjoyment. I love mystery and suspense novels. However, I've read and am drawn to many types of writing. Inspirational books, fantasy, self help, science, religion, children's books, DYI (over the summer I bought a book that told 500 applications for baking soda), and even a little romance once in awhile.

I have the belief that there are many answers in written words. I have a tendancy to seek out a book , or at least some form of written information, if I'm needing information to solve a problem - big or small.

Growing up, I used to love reading the same book my mom had just read so we could discuss it. I've often missed that special camaraderie that came from entering the world of my book with another. It may well be that the only experience that compares to experiencing a book is sharing that experience with another.

There aren't any active book clubs or reading groups near my home at present, so I'm looking forward to the monthly meetings.
