Extended Profile
I am a custom framer and have owned my business for 19 years. I have always been an avid reader and discovered this site some time back through NPR. I wanted to set up a book shelf/reading table alongside my coffee counter in the store so that like minds
could have a little "de-stress spot" in their lives. Also, it would give me a chance to discuss the books I loved reading.
I enjoy reading women's literature, classics, humor, history and some fantasy. Every now and again I enjoy a good thriller; it depends on my mood.
I also enjoy making jewelry, art (um...probably obvious since I own a gallery, but thought I'd throw it in anyway), horseback riding when I get the chance, traveling also when I get the chance, and learning new things. Spare time is at a premium with a thriving business and kids, so I appreciate the fact that I can escape at least momentarily into a good read....
Books I've read in 2010:
"Stones to Schools"
"The Girls from Ames"
"Nickle and Dimed" by Barbara Einreich
"Fearless Fourteen" by Janet Evanovich
2009: too busy with some personal things to get in here much at all...
2008: (partial list-keep forgetting to add)
1. "La Cucina" by Lily Prior
2. "Visions of Sugarplums" by Janet Evanovich
3. "Savannah Blues" by Mary Kay Andrews
4. "Tell No One" by Harlan Coben
5. "The Innocent Man" by John Grisham
6. "An Unquiet Mind" by Kay Redfield Jamison
7. "Breathing Lessons" by Anne Tyler
8. "Gone for Good" by Harlan Coben
9. "Gideon: Cutpurse and Gentleman" by Linda Buckley Archer
10. "The Time Thief" by Linda Buckley Archer
11. "The Memory Keepers Daughter" by Kim Edwards
