i'm a lawyer in a small village [3600 people] in rural vermont. i've been a member of more book clubs than i can remember [qpbc since 1981; etc] and have hundreds of books stored away that i always figured some day i would donate [and i've done lots of that] or turn in to a used book store for $$$$ or credit [and i've done that, too] or pass along to my kids when i die [i haven't done that]. we have a literary guild that i belong to and i'm the chair of the local free public library board of trustees. on fridays during the school year, i volunteer at a program called "books with breakfast," where we read to kids, k-5 or 6, depending on the school. in my spare time, i read........
