Forty-something, I can never remember exactly, South African born & bred, have lived in Durban, Johannesburg, Cape Town all in SA; Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman; Cleveland, Ohio and soon - Chicago, Illinois. I love reading but its all or nothing for me - if I have a book I have to read it from start to finish right away. And with 2 almost teenage daughters, a husband, a dog & a job, time is a precious commodity.

I enjoy contemporary writing, and it has to be well-written to take my fancy. I tend to read more books written by women than by men. I recently read & loved "A Heart of Stone", "The Secret Life of Bees", "Blue Diary" and "Bel Canto".

My books are in boxes due to the pending move to Chicago but I hope to unearth something soon to be ... released into the wild ....
