What can I say about myself?

I am, obviously, an avid reader. I love classic literature and am just (actually still considering) venturing out into more contemporary works, as I have left the area unexplored, save the few that crossed my path (and changed it forever) in my youth.

I live near and love the beach! I am a worshiper of the wind, and the sea,and of the storm. There is nothing that can soothe me quite so well as the smell of the water and the sound of thunder as I feel the wind playing in my hair.

My passions include the written word, music, the water, and most importantly my three wonderful children!

I am many things; a few of them include: daughter, sister, friend, enemy (though I can't imagine to whom), singer, writer, soccer mom, comedian, comforter, maid, laundry lady, chef, taxi, vain beauty (that's for my mom & sisters ;), and a very proud, very fulfilled Mop of three! (I mean Mom, of course.)

Some of my favorite books and authors include: Everything written by Ayn Rand, Stranger In A Strange Land (only one of his I've read, but it means a great deal to me), Fitzgerald (both), Hemmingway, Faulkner, Chopin, Mark Twain, T.S. Elliot, Frost, and Henry David Thoreau.

I just "caught" my first book recently and am thrilled to have found this community! Imagine, a group of people whose draw to one another is the love of reading and a wish to share that love. Spectacular! I hope to discover more of us in Corpus!

As I have rambled on enough (I suppose I found something to say about myself after all), I'll let you continue in your journey and bid you adieu by stating that I welcome all PMs and emails from other lovers of literature!
