Extended Profile
My good friend, Phoenix-Flight, who lives in Amsterdam, Netherlands, told me about BookCrossing. She has been an active member for quite a while. I am 61 years old and can't remember a time when I couldn't read. It has been a lifelong love, and the public
library is my "best friend" with books, audiotapes and movies to borrow free, read and return. I read almost everything except romance novels. Most of the time I buy used books at yard sales and at our local library's monthly sale of donated and discarded
books. I usually pass bags of books I've read on to others by posting on the local Freecycle trading forum where people can pass on anything and everything to others who might be able to use it. The only stipulation is that the item(s) must be free. It is
a great way to "recycle" things you no longer use but are too good to toss in the trash. Someone somewhere can generally use what you are getting rid of.
I love to pass books along to fellow readers and am looking forward to being an active member of BookCrossing.
