Reading is my passion and it helps maintain a semblance of sanity. For a short while, about 4 years, I had a part time job (in addition to my regular teaching job) working nights and weekends in our local town library. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven! Too bad it wouldn't pay me what teaching does!
For the past 36 years I have been in adolescent classrooms, pushing books and authors, urging, nudging, cajoling, strongarming young adults into reading. I am always on the lookout for a "great read". I am desperately searching for historical fiction for WWI ( aside from All Quiet on the Western Front , there's little out there fit for 14 year old consumption).
