I live rurally in the middle of 50 acres on top of a mountain on the northeast edge of the beautiful Willamette Valley in Oregon. During the summer I read in my garden or on the porch, looking up from my book to listen to the birds or watch the butterflies fluttering among my flowers. During the winter I am curled up in a comfy recliner chair, looking up from my book to watch the dark gray storm clouds release rain on the valley below. Of course, I have some cute cats and dogs to keep me company!


When I am not reading fiction, I am reading my out-of-print reference books on antique French porcelain and art glass. My reference book library totals over 500 volumes and continues to grow. I sell antique French porcelain out of my home; I specialize in selling Haviland and Limoges, though I also have a passion for Old Paris, Mehun and Sevres.

My husband of 25 years is slowly dying of Alzheimers My cozy life allows me to care for him as his disease progresses, yet I still have time for what interests me: my business, gardening, walking with my dogs, reading, antiquing, managing my investment portfolio and more.

I hope that anyone who reads this blurb I wrote can achieve balance in their life too. Though circumstances of your life might bring you pain, don't ever be afraid to seek your passions in life, because achieving your goals will bring you happiness despite any painful circumstances outside of your control.
