Extended Profile
The Daily Grind was born on April 7th, 1997 in downtown Elkhart, Indiana. Owners Pat & Tanya Bleiler dreamed to open a coffeehouse that would serve the Elkhart area with exceptional coffee and friendly, inviting service.
To promote the Elkhart community, we've named our specialty drinks after the streets of downtown Elkhart. The names also help to connect the history and heritage of Elkhart to our modern-day coffeehouse.
Since 1997, we've come to know and love many of our customers, who we affectionately call "Friends of the Grind." We consider it the coffeehouse version of "Cheers." We know your name, and often, we will know what you drink and have it poured by the time you reach the counter.
What we love most about our shop is getting to know you, who we consider to be the most important part of the surrounding community's heritage.
We hope to continue to be a venue for up and coming artists, a pit stop to perk up your day, and most of all, a place where the people of the surrounding community can invest in each other. No matter which Daily Grind you most frequently visit, it is our dream and passion to invest in you and encourage you, that you may become a "friend of the Grind."
