I'm thrilled to have found this site! Already a firm believer in Karma and presently clutching my book collection as if it defines my existence, I'm excited to "release" my books to the fate that awaits them.
The best books I have read this year have been Da Vinci Code, Straight Man (Richard Russo), Prodigal Summer, The Little Prince. I'm especially into reading classic literature, cookbooks (vegetarian), books on whole parenting, and history. Recently, however, I've been spending most of my reading/leisure time reading professional literature related to teaching, and fiction on the weekends and school vacations.
Almost all of the books on the shelf have already been on a cross-country journey. I've moved 18 times in 16 years now, and the books go wherever I go--all around san diego, off to college in santa barbara, back to san diego, and ultimately met up with me here in New York (thanks to my dear friend Shannon who sent them all to me)!
