i am a college dropout who now is in the coast guard, so i spend half of my time floating around on a ship in the ocean. since quitting college i have rediscovered my love of reading, now that i have the time to read what i want i am amazed at the books i've found. some of my favorite books are by tom robbins, stephen james duncan, tom wolfe, and kerouac. i love humorous, sometimes absurd fiction that takes punches at all of us as humans. besides fiction i read a lot of science books, but some of it goes over my head. in college i studied a lot of english and religion, so i really enjoy religious texts as well.
i live in dover, nh, but with my ship we go from florida to maine, visiting a lot of great cities like new york, boston, charleston, and portland.


i am going to help my ship get a small library going, making more books available to the crew. we get some free books from the military but no one is usually interested in them. so anyone with great books they are looking to get rid of, pm me and we can arrange it, thanks.

ok, now its the beginning of july, and i am finally transfering, moving to san francisco. i am going to leave a lot of the books that have been sent to me onboard the ship for everyone to read and share. i'd like to thank everyone who sent us so many books, it made quite a few more people interested in this site.

ok, now its september, i have been in San Francisco for amonth now, and am loving it. in moving i passed a lot of books on to friends, hoping they'd get into bookcrossing too, i guess we'll see. i also left a lot of books on my old ship for everyone to use, they seemed to be pretty happy to have some new material to read.
