Corky Johnson was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey. He graduated from West Side High School in Newark and Wilberforce University with a Bachelor of Arts degree Business Administration & Computer Science. Johnson also holds an Associate Degree in Networking
Management and is a long-standing member of Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship Inc.
Corky is dedicated to family, community and the advancement of others less fortunate. Working with The Late Congressman Donald M. Payne, Corky has acquired extensive experience in Community Service working with multiple community district leaders, social service agencies, housing, welfare, immigration, battered women and children, and job development. A member of the Steve Harvey Mentoring Program from Metropolitan Baptist Church in Newark New Jersey.
Through a combination of education, professional experiences and personal experiences, Corky was inspired to write this book in hopes that it would educate and motivate people of color to make a positive change for the betterment and advancement of Afro-Americans.
We are one, our cause are one, and together, we must help and support each other, if we are going to succeed. Corky J.
