This is the OCZ for Books4Peace
49 smiles waiting to be sent at the moment.
Books4Peace project main goal is to create a library for the orphan children of the war in Iraq.
So, you ask, what do I have to do?
1) get a children book
2) register it as yours
3) send us a PM with the BCID of the book you just registred
4) make a journal entry explaining where it's gone :-)
5) wait for a PM from us with the adress where you will send the book.

At the moment you are welcome to register children books on this account by sending us a PM with the bookcrossing ID (BCID) you registred.**
Due to possible language problems, we recommend you to register books mainly with lots of drawings or images.
The books will be sent by you to iraq by mail and will be received by volunteers.
They will be distributed to the children on the streets with the aid of volunteers on iraq. If the amount of books and volunteers become significant, we hope to build some mobil children librarys, where children can read, get or exchange books.
If you are in iraq and you want to become a volunteer in this project, send us a PM .
We also welcome volunteers to register the books in the OCZ, and other simple tasks in the project.
If you have ideas for this project, they are very welcome!

Please note I only had this idea some days ago, so we are currently still gathering information on potencial volunteers on Iraq to help us receive and distribute the books. If you know someone who is in iraq and you think that person can help us, please send us a PM.
