Extended Profile
Thankyou Taxmanager for my wings and introducing me to Bookcrossing! Together we are waging a two woman campaign to save our villlage!
I am quite a slow reader at the moment but I usually have one or two books on the go at one time. I didn't think I was a reader of crime fiction until I discovered Patricia Cornwell and I was completely hooked.
I love Philip Pulman and of course Harry Potter. I grew up with all the Narnia books as well as the Faraway Tree and the Wishing Chair. I expect thats where I get my love of all things magical!
I like a good biography and are fascinated by the Bloomsbury Set - Vita Sackville West etc. I have also read everything that has been written about the Mitford Sisters.
Going on holiday in about 3 weeks so I have the enviable task of choosing books to take for a week in the sun.
Books read in 2009
The Old Patagonian Express by Paul Theroux
A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini
The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
Case Histories by Kate Atkinson
One Good Turn by Kate Atkinson
The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monks Kidd
The Mermaid Chair by Sue Monks Kidd
