Extended Profile
I am living midst (also in the mist) of Bronte country, near two aptly named pubs called The Wuthering Heights and The Friendly. This is good old fashioned northern english-lit landscape with grumpy farmers and genuine Yorkshire folk entact. Japanese and
American tourists regularly traipse through the villiage in search of the Bronte experience. I can't tell if their eyes are glazed over because of the innate beauty of the place or the shear panic at trying to understand a local asking, "Weer 'as ta bahn?"
(translation: where have you been?) The landscape is thoroughly enchanting and hauntingly memorable like the famous sisters' novels.
