Howdy.
I am a librarian at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My academic interests are collection development, taxonomies, classification systems, and indexes.

I like all kinds of books, but especially non-fiction, histories, humor, and a smattering of novels all across the board. I particularly enjoy pop culture history, or "histories of one thing" like cod, salt, sweets, curry, the potato etc. I love kids and YA books, particularly Lemony Snicket and the American Diaries. The authors I am reading most often recently are Chuck Palahniuk, Max(x) Barry, Christopher Buckley, "things I should have read," and any author who has a lot of books on audio! I am addicted to audiobooks.

I am the treasurer of the UIUC student organization Chambana Bookcrossers, but we usually have no money, so I am mainly a figurehead. The power is wildly corrupting.

We register a lot of books in anticipation/while giving them away, so not all of our books are really "available." Trying doesn't hurt though.
