I am a slow reader who always feels guilty about becoming engrossed in a book, simply because I can't put it down and it is ver late/ there are other more pressing tasks to be done. A senoir lecturere in education at Msssey, my partner is a non-fiction-reader shearer who does not understand my passion for books; each of us is free to persue our own interests so this is not a problem, other than that I go to be very late and he gets up very early! So reading is intricately a part of our negotiated relationship.
