Hi,
My name is Mariëlle and I live in Goes, the Netherlands. I first heard about BookCrossing through Postcrossing, one of my other hobbies. As I love reading, I took a look at the website and after doing that, I decided it would be nice to join!
The day I wanted to set free my first book, I was visiting relatives in Ede, and my aunt told me about a 'Minibieb', a little library, close to their home. I decided to take a look and left my first BookCrossing book there, instead of on the train, as I had originally planned.
I really liked the idea of the Minibieb as a safe haven for books waiting for new readers, and thought it was a shame we didn't have anything like that in my province, Zeeland. But then, only a few weeks later, I saw a Minibieb for sale...
My parents were very enthusiastic and I couldn't resist, so we bought the Minibieb and put it in the front garden of my parents' house. And so, in the summer of 2013, it became the first official Minibieb and the first OBCZ in Zeeland. :D Luckily nowadays there are way more Minibiebs, even in Goes many more can be found!
Of course BookCrossing books are also very welcome in our Minibieb! So if you're visiting Goes/Zeeland and have some time on your hands, please come by sometime! :)
Best wishes/groetjes,
Mariëlle
