I just notice that I will have been with BC for 20 years next month. Wow! I don't frequent this site too much anymore, but I still connect with some folks on FB, Instagram, and Goodreads. BC has been really important to me in so many ways.
Currently reading: To see what I'm reading, visit me at www.goodreads.com/---/5310347-diane
Currently finishing up a self-help book on depression. Hoping to launch it this year.
I finished my memoir, but am now working on a rewrite.
I'm also working on a book based on my great-grandfather's diary, but
I'm only at the outline stage on that one.
Here's one of my essays (I'm thinking of doing a follow-up, because I've read lots of stories of people who are being arrested for singing at this camp):
streetlightmag.com/---/16343/
I have a new business - www.animalsandus.net - in which I offer services that help strengthen the bond between animals and their people. I also have an editing business, Shaded Path Publishing. Website coming on that one.
I love to read, but don't always have the time or the motivation to do so. You won't see a lot of books from my permanent collection on here; I like to use BC for those books I've read (or am reading) or for those that I've collected for a challenge/project and plan to release only.
If you see something on my bookshelf you like that's available, pm me. My list on Goodreads is more extensive - www.goodreads.com/---/5310347-diane
I'm currently collecting cancelled postage stamps of all denominations and types (all countries) to raise funds for research for those with chiari malformation and syringomyelia. See www.asap.org, or www.conquerchiari.com I was diagnosed with a chiari malformation in April of 2005, and underwent brain surgery in the latter half of 2006 to repair it. My friends here were some of my biggest supporters in my recovery! All postage stamps should be in relatively good condition (not torn or cut) and have a 1/4" to 1/2" border around them.
