Wow. It's been forever since I've been here! Gonna update this over the next week or so. So much going on!

Currently reading: The Muslim Next Door: The Qur'an, the Media, and that Veil Thing

Currently finishing up a self-help book on depression. Hoping to launch it this year.
I finished my memoir, but am now working on a rewrite.
I'm also working on a book based on my great-grandfather's diary, but
I'm only at the outline stage on that one.

Here's one of my essays (I'm thinking of doing a follow-up, because I've read lots of stories of people who are being arrested for singing at this camp):

I have a new business - - in which I offer services that help strengthen the bond between animals and their people. I also have an editing an proofreading business. Website coming on that one.

I love to read, but don't always have the time or the motivation to do so. You won't see a lot of books from my permanent collection on here; I like to use BC for those books I've read (or am reading) or for those that I've collected for a challenge/project and plan to release only.

If you see something on my bookshelf you like that's available, pm me. My list on Goodreads is more extensive -

I'm currently collecting cancelled postage stamps of all denominations and types (all countries) to raise funds for research for those with chiari malformation and syringomyelia. See, or I was diagnosed with a chiari malformation in April of 2005, and underwent brain surgery in the latter half of 2006 to repair it. All postage stamps should be in relatively good condition (not torn or cut) and have a 1/4" to 1/2" border around them.
