Under Construction - Please pardon the Mess :-)

Updated 07/01/2019

Wow. It's been forever since I've been here! Gonna update this over the next week or so. So much going on!

Currently reading: The Muslim Next Door: The Qur'an, the Media, and that Veil Thing

Currently working on a science fiction novel: at 28000 words
and a memoir (final revision): at 89000 words
I'm also working on a book based on my great-grandfather's diary, but
I'm only at the outline stage on that one.

I have recently started freelance work as a Healing Touch for Animals practitioner. My last class is in August and I hope to certify sometime after that. This work - being able to be and help animals - is my lifelong passion. So grateful.

I love to read, but don't always have the time or the motivation to do so. You won't see a lot of books from my permanent collection on here; I like to use BC for those books I've read (or am reading) or for those that I've collected for a challenge/project and plan to release only.

If you see something on my bookshelf you like that's available, pm me. I will be updating soon.I frequently do RABCKs, but will also trade for a book or -cancelled- postage stamps. Yes, you read that right. More on that below.

I'm currently collecting cancelled postage stamps of all denominations and types (all countries) to raise funds for research for those with chiari malformation and syringomyelia. See www.asap.org, or www.conquerchiari.com I was diagnosed with a chiari malformation in April of 2005, and underwent brain surgery in the latter half of 2006 to repair it. All postage stamps should be in relatively good condition (not torn or cut) and have a 1/4" to 1/2" border around them.
