Extended Profile
The Cafe in the Woods with an OBCZ at Wendover Woods opened on Saturday 28th January - opening from 10am to 5pm. Click here for the Forestry Comission website and directions. Managed by bookcrosser Katybean.
Weebly is helping Katybean manage the shelf and the bookcrossing zone here. For more information about the other local Forest Cafe at Salcey Forest forest
look
here or at the bookcrossing shelf for
SalceyForest
Wendover Woods is a Foresty Commission site on the road between Tring and Wendover just south of Aylesbury. The cafe is run by the same family who run the Salcey Forest cafe. There is a pay and display machine in the car park (£2 charge) and a children's play
area, toilet facilities, bicycle paths and different walks and viewpoints. They also have barbeque areas for in the summer.
Salcey Forest is a lovely area in Northamptonshire to go for walks, bicycle rides, or just sit and have a coffee. There is a childrens play area, a cafe which opened April 2004, toilet facilities and a separate dog walkers car park just past the cafe.
The OBCZ is in the cafe with the full approval of the cafe owners. Weebly secretly released some books in Salcey Forest cafe and got such nice messages from people who found them that she came clean and admitted she was the bibliolitterer and got permission
to leave more books. Then when a 'sister' cafe was opened here at Wendover Woods a bookshelf was in the intitial plans before it was even built, and Katybean as a local bookcrosser offered to act as OBCZ manager. Books will be found on the lovely shelves when
they are put up - for the moment the books are on a windowsil - see the photo below.
I don't believe that there is a postal address for this OBCZ - but if you find a book here on your wish list then please send a private message and Katybean or Weebly may act as the go between for a trade.

The Heather Blazing - "I found this book in the Cafe in the Woods in Wendover Woods. Really enjoyed it, turned back to the first page when I had got to the end. I would never have selected this book in a library, so it has been a great introduction to a new author. I shall look for more of his work. " - May 2006 by Speechie
