Hello, I grew up in a reading family. I read my two eldest sister's English Lit books while I languished four and six years behind them in school. My Mom & Dad were avid readers and we didn’t watch television, we read. Everything we could get our hands
on. I remember going to the library every Saturday and spending the entire day reading, searching and then checking out 12 books to read over the next 14 days. I was 11 and I remember one librarian telling me I could not check out that many books. So, I told
Mom and she came in and told the lady I read 2 books a day and I would even have those 12 books back the following Saturday much less in 14 days. Yeah Mom. In 1957 that was a very formidable lady. She I s78 today and just as supportive. And we share our reading
interests today as well as my sister and I.
I am a book slut. I read literature, I read police drama, I only draw the line at romance paperbacks and gross books, such as Dennis Koontz has become.
Tom Clancey is uses his Thesaurus too much “bespoke” was used 3 times in as many pages to simply indicate tailor made. Sigh.
