***Please note: Because of a new job, new home, new career, and new life, I haven't been as active in BXing as I was in the winter of 07/08. Which means that I don't organize a new bookring every day and read 4 books a week. But, I'm still here, still an avid reader, and still reliable. :)

Welcome to my bookshelf! I have been a member of BookCrossing since last August 07, but I left soon after for a 3-month wilderness trip. So, I've really only been active since December 07. So far, though, I love it!

Feel free to browse my bookshelf. I try to get books from the library whenever possible (those are the books on my "books I have read" list that don't have links to a journal), both to support their slowly dying existence, and because the environmentalist in me balks at sending books all over the place when you can get them nearby without all the bubblewrap and tape. If you are interested in any of my books, just ask. RABCKs make the books go round. If you like something in my permanent collection, I'm willing to lend those out as well, so long as you return them when you are done ("Permanent Collection" means "I liked it so much I decided to keep it so I could share it with others"). I'm also registered on BookMooch, where I post books if I can't find someone to give them to on BookCrossing.

Other than reading, I like being outdoors (backpacking, rock climbing, cliff diving, all that stuff), cooking, and any form of needlework. When I'm not working, I'm either hiking, reading, or knitting. That picture is of me on the summit of a volcano in Patagonia.

Please take a look at My Wish List and tell me if you can think of any books that I might enjoy reading. Thanks go to Cliff1976 for providing this service!
