Extended Profile
Hi book peeps - not sure what to say here seeing as I kind of stumbled on book crossing when looking for a London Book group. Does anyone else find the 30kb limit for pictures annoying - I'm not very good at geekery and I've just spent too much of my life
trying to find out how to reduce size in photoshop and not succeeding.
Anyway about me - I'm 30 and live in London (I'm assuming this thing is mainly yank-based). I read loads but I always saw it as a personal activity - y'know, I never really thought about talking about it until a mate of mine joined a book group. Random recomendations:
War and Peace
Bridget Jones Diary
La Comedie Humaine (bits of it - it gets repetitive)
Shout (Phil Norman's biography of the Beatles). Zappa was right when he said rock journalism was written by people who can't write about people who can't talk for the sake of people who can't read but this is the closest think I've come across to disproving him
Goodbye Mr Chips (James Hilton)
The Devils - Dostoyevsky
