Extended Profile
I joined bookcrossing originally back in 2013 but only really started properly in January 2017.
I enjoy reading historical fiction, murder mysteries, fantasy and mythology although I'm happy to give most genres a go because there are some nice surprises out there! Favourite authors include Bernard Cornwell, Agatha Christie and Terry Pratchett.
I'm a member of Goodreads where I concentrate my efforts on completing various reading challenges. So far I have finished an A-Z of Authors, an A-Z of one word titles and Around the World in 80 books.
Feel free to PM me if you see something of interest on my available shelf - I am happy to swap books.
I work with animals and have a mad cocker spaniel and a budgie. My hobbies include knitting and calligraphy so I am interested in manuscripts and historical documents.
Bookrings/rays I have organised:
Dewey - The small town library cat who touched the world (completed to end of ray)
Bookrings/rays I have participated in:
My Antonia
Gutenberg's Apprentice
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
One Blood
The Watchmaker of Filigree Street
Javatrekker
The World According to Bob
Crossing Paths - The Bookcrossing novel
Personal Bookcrossing Stats:
1st ever catch was journaled 15 days after wild release and travelled from the UK to Australia
Most successful wild release is a children's book with 6 different journalers so far
Book I started that has gathered the most journalers without being a bookring/ray
