Extended Profile
Welcome to our classroom's virtual bookcrossing book shelf!

For Students:
This shelf has many uses and only a few rules.
You may use this to search the books that are located in our class library.
Books can be sorted by title, author, genre, and more.
When you select a book, please make a journal entry explaining why you chose the book. Make sure to change the book's STATUS too. See below for explanation of STATUS.
When you finish a book, please make a journal entry and tell the world what you think of the book. You can also rate the book using the star scale.
New books will be added only after I have read them first.
If you have books you would like to add to our class library, please see me.

NOTE: When making a journal entry, you may only use your first name. Do NOT use your last name. The journal entries can be modified to remove last names and any other inappropriate materials.

Sample journal entry for a Harry Potter book:

My name is Joe and I'm in the 5th grade. I read this because I like the Harry Potter movies and I wanted to see what the books were like. The book was good. It had a lot of stuff the movie didn't have but that's ok. I think that quidditch is better to watch than read.

Status of the Books:
Available: This means that the book is on the bookshelf and is available to be read.
To Be Read: This means that someone is currently reading the book.
Traveling: This books has been released and is on a journey.
Reserved: The teacher has plans for this book and so it is not available to be read right now.
Permanent Collection: These are books that are available to read, but you might have to get your parent's/guardian's permission to read it.

Other BookCrossing Things:
--As a class we can discuss other aspects of BookCrossing such as releasing, hunting, and release challenges.

For Visitors:
This shelf is designed for my middle schoolers to use. It is maintained and operated by me, their teacher. I am also an avid BookCrosser with a bookshelf of my own (Adia415). All PMs will go to me.
