I'm a well-read, well-traveled, well-educated teacher for Fresno Unified School District. I heard about Bookcrossing through NPR's Weekend Edition and registered to become a member the very same day. Many of my books are "released" to the Neilson Hayes Library, a private English-language library in Bangkok, Thailand. I support the Neilson Hayes in this way because I was a member while I lived in Thailand from 1992-2000, and I can honestly say that the quiet, sane oasis it provided saved my sanity on more than one occasion.

In 2006 I spent a lot of time and financial resources towards building a classroom library of children and young adult books for teenagers with a wide variety of English reading abilities and interests.
